The Effect of Diary Writing on EFL Student ’Writing And
Language Abilities and second time and the title is the Effect of Writing on EFL college students' Writing improvement and
attitudes. Okay let's see the difference
1. In terms of the structural structure of the first introduction journal, the discussion is clearer.
2. In the first journal there is a literature review, namely the theoretical background and
Previous Studies.
3. In the first journal methodology was carried out in the College of Basic Education, in the Department of English. Performed in the autumn of 2014/2015 in two Advanced Writing classes, with a total of 52 students. Students are asked to write a diary about any topic they choose. Students are encouraged to write as much as possible and express themselves in different ways.
Initially, students write ten diary entries, after which the instructor gathers
diary. The instructor then reads each diary and at the end of each entry writes a comment. While in the second journal involving 44 male participants selected from a total population of 94 BA, three students of mechanical engineering majors at the Petroleum University of technology in Jakarta Mahmoodabad, Iran. With the start of methodology, participants took tests and were given English Language Test certificates (FCE, 1999), two questionnaires, two expository writing tests, and a Michigan Exam for certificates in English (MECPE, 1997). Of course before
administration test to the intended participant, all instruments are tested in
‘English conversation classes in private institutions to learn their psychometric values. Results of this methodology The data in this study were analyzed using descriptive and inferential statistics. To investigate the first null hypothesis which shows that diary writing does not significantly affect the third year BA of EFL student attitudes toward writing, a chi-square analysis is carried out.
By the way there are quite a lot of differences from the first journal and the second journal. However, although there are many differences from the two journals they have 1 goal, which is to make students more active in learning to write, increase knowledge about vocabulary so as to create methods that are not monotonous for students.
